Nils Rensholt is a Danish composer born in 1978. Also active as a sound artist, he has created a wide range of worksfrom experimental operas to pieces for performanceall of which have been highly acclaimed. This Repository of Emotions and Experiences is a captivating repertoire for solo piano. The first piece in the collection, The Birds, is a tale set in an imaginary future without birds, in which the pianist reflects on creatures that once flew through the sky while singing.Renio Riatzu, the pianist performing on this album, is a Greek-born musician who studied under Susan Bradshawa scholar of Pierre Boulez based in Londonand discovered his passion for contemporary music. He actively collaborates with theater and dance, working to develop new forms of art.Naxos Japan
