Watch out for the gorgeous voice of the famous singer Luyten! Soprano and clarinet solo in Maierbeer’s opera “Theolinda’s Love”! Giacomo Maierbeer, who studied with Weber and Father Vogler in Darmstadt, became a successful opera composer, producing masterpieces such as “The Prophet” and “The African Woman”. In 1826, he moved to Paris, where he continued his career. His cantata of scenes for soprano, clarinet, chorus, and orchestra, “Theolinda’s Love,” was written in 1816. The love story between Theolinda and Armidoro is expressed by the soprano and clarinet in this masterpiece, which shows Maia Behr’s talent. The work will be performed with great splendor by the famous soprano Reneke Luiten and Davide Bandieri, principal solo clarinetist of the Orchestre de chambre de Lausanne. King International
