Minkowski’s treasured son Noari’s exquisite chamber version of the Rameau Sextet is one of Rameau’s few chamber works, consisting of six conserts. Thibault Noari and Les Saxons have taken on the challenge of arranging five of them for sextet from the complete masterpiece “Clavissantes en Conserts”. The trio’s “Clavecin Concertant” is now more varied and flamboyant, and the characterization of each piece is more clearly perceptible. Thibault Noari, born in 1982, has been concertmaster of Minkowski’s Grenoble-Louvre Orchestra since 2006, and has performed with countertenor Philippe Jaroussky and with harpsichordist Francesco Corti, who also attracted Minkowski’s attention. He has also formed a duo with harpsichordist Francesco Corti, who was also noticed by Minkowski. The period instrument ensemble “Les Xaxins” led by Noari, with 3 violins, viola, and 2 cellos, portrays Rameau’s world without clavecin.
