The early ALPHA masterpiece *From Winter to Spring* (ALPHA088/out of print) by gamba player Sophie Watillon serves as the Volume 1 of this collection, and the recording of Volume 2which remained unfulfilled due to Watillons untimely deathhas now been realized more than 20 years later. The project was conceived by the renowned French virtuoso Lucile Boulanger, who grew up familiar with the viola da gamba from a young age and regarded Watieau as her role model. J
