Violinist Max Bailey, who has performed with a wide range of musicians including Steve Reich, John Williams, Bobby McFerrin, and Bjrk; Norwegian hardingfele player Olav Luxengoll Mjlva; and Erik Ludvars, a player of the Swedish folk instrument, the nyckelharpamake up the Roadster Trio, and this is their debut album. It is a fresh and ambitious work that presents new interpretations by juxtaposing Baroque classics by Bach, Lully, and Couperin with Nordic folk songs and original compositions.Max, intrigued by the performances of Olav and Erikwho had already released several albumsproposed a collaboration.
