The latest release in a series of recordings of original works for two pianos by the husband-and-wife duo Berlinskaya and Ansel is dedicated to two jazz composers, one from Russia and one from the United States. The album features works by Gershwin and Tzfasmanwho studied under Felix Blumenfeld at the Moscow Conservatory and later became known for leading the AMA Jazz Orchestraall of which have been superbly arranged for two pianos by various composers. Berlinskaya and Ansel focus on creating a unique style that fuses jazz and classical music, incorporating elements such as a subtle sense of swing while maintaining the ensembles precision.
