A native of Katowice, Poland, she won first prize at the 1992 Szymanowski International Competition and placed sixth at the 13th International Chopin Piano Competition in 1995.She is a multi-talented artist who serves as the founder and president of the Silesian Music Society in Poland, acts as a judge for international competitions both in Poland and abroad, and is also active as an instructor at the Katowice Academy of Music in her hometown.This all-Chopin program features a renowned Polish pianist whose talent was highly praised by Ligeti himself.
