Dream combination! Sell+Schwarzkopf’s Mahler No. 4 – Improved Sound Quality! This 4th Mahler symphony was Sell’s favorite of all Mahler symphonies. It is a thrilling performance that drives the melody quite hard, and is a masterful performance in which Sell’s original caustic passion is unleashed. The third movement takes nearly 20 minutes to sing in an intoxicatingly emotional manner. The studio recording features Judith Raskin as soloist, but this is an intriguing performance with the famous Schwarzkopf. The expression of the solo performance with Schwarzkop is different from that with Walther. The sound quality has also been improved. The sound quality has also been improved. Although this is an open-air concert, the fact that it was recorded in an easy-to-hear stereo recording in a magnificent hall with eaves is also greatly appreciated.
