Friedrich Rckert was a beloved poet of many composers, including Gustav Mahler. This album is a collection of his sensitive and poetic works, including some little-known songs based on Rckert’s poetry. The internationally acclaimed German tenor singer Marthe Mller, who studied at the Mannheim Conservatory after joining the Regensburg Cathedral Choir, and whose repertoire ranges from Baroque to Romanticism to musicals, and the renowned Lieder interpreter Getz Pierer, who has appeared at music festivals and in prestigious halls around the world, will perform a collection of Rckert’s works that are deeply moving and poetic, including some of his most famous poems.
