Clarinetist Sebastian Manz, who made a splash in 2008 when he won first prize in the clarinet division of the ARD Munich International Music Competition, which had not produced a first prize winner for 40 years, has produced an album with Martin Klett, “Duo Reul,” focusing on composers from the Americas. The album includes elements of jazz and blues. Together with Martin Klett, the two won the first prize in the clarinet and piano categories of the German Music Competition, Manz and Klett colorfully present a diverse selection of works that also include elements of jazz and blues.
