Please start by listening to the Serenade. Among Sols works, this piece features dramatic shifts in musical character (the second movement is particularly charming, and the trumpet sound in the finale is delightful), making it an unqualified delight. The Fantasy from Op. 40 is one of the most highly regarded pieces among Sols numerous variations. If you listen to the other short pieces as well, you will realize that this is a collection of outstanding works in which Sol expresses on the guitar the music that the great masters of the Viennese Classical period entrusted to the piano.Naxos Japan
