In the first collection, “The Ruins of Athens” (including the “Turkish March”), first performed in 1812, is reconstructed with a new text by playwright Kai Wessler as a story with a political message of the time that is relevant today. Similarly, “King Stefan” in the second collection is reconstructed in modern German. The third collection includes the complete play “Egmont.
