Contrabassist Marek Romanowski is the 2016 winner of the Johannes Matthias Sperger International Competition in Ludwigslust, Germany; in 2014 he gave the Polish premiere of the orchestral accompaniment version of Proto’s “Nine Variations on a Theme by Paganini” He is a specialist in the performance and interpretation of contemporary works.
