Advanced Lute Art of the German Renaissance! Known as “Lautenschlager” or “Lautenzwicker” during the Renaissance, German lutenists were famous throughout Europe for their complex compositions and advanced playing techniques. One of them, Hans Judenknig, was one of the pioneers of German Renaissance music, in which the lute played an important role.
