A collection of classic childrens songs born from the Taisho-era childrens magazine *Akai Tori*.*Akai Tori* was a childrens magazine published by Miekichi Suzuki during the Taisho period. Driven by the desire to deliver authentic words and melodies that resonate with childrens sensibilities (from Yuta Suzukis liner notes), composers such as Kosaku Yamada, Shinpei Nakayama, Ryutaro Hirota, and Tamezo Narita, along with poets centered around Hakushu Kitahara and Yaso Saijo, all collaborated enthusiastically, giving birth to many timeless songs that nurture childrens hearts. Here, Midori Sanawaa leading figure in Japanese vocal performanceand the up-and-coming baritone Yuki Kuroda, accompanied by the masterful Tomo Matsushita, present voices that are both deeply moving and refreshingly vibrant. These songs, which have endured through history, are now reborn here with a new breath of life.Octavia
