The live radio recording of “Orchestral Hargest Ridge” arranged by David Bedford, which was planned after “Orchestral Tubular Bells” but was only performed live and never made into an album, has been unearthed after 50 years! Oldfield did not participate in the performance, and Steve Hillage played guitar. The orchestral version of “Hargest Ridge” is more gentle and grandiose than “Tubular Bells,” so it is a very natural orchestral version, and a must-hear for prog fans!
