Her playing is incisive and conveys a sense of strong determination; in particular, the dance pieces featured on this CD are all imbued with a passionate vitality. Whether its Fallas famous Fire Dance or Ravels elegant and sentimental waltzes, her powerful performances ensure the music doesnt remain static but radiates outward, stimulating the listenera quality that is particularly evident in the collection of Balkan dances by her compatriot, Marko Tajevi (19001984), her fellow countryman, is particularly evident in the Balkan Dances.
