The debut of the graceful saxophonist Misato Hanawa.The debut album of Misato Hanawa, an accomplished saxophonist who trained in France and has won prizes at numerous European competitions. Drawing on her years in France, she brings rich colour to beautiful, delicate works by Ravel, Poulenc and others, singing out with real passion in the title piece, Hommage dith Piaf, and in Impression d’automne.She went to France in 2007 as a scholar of the Maeda Memorial Scholarship Foundation. In 2008 she won first prize in the chamber music division of the U.F.A.M. International Music Competition by unanimous decision of the jury, together with the jury’s special prize, and gave a prizewinner’s recital at the glise Notre-Dame-du-Travail in Montparnasse, Paris. She took first prize at the Paris International Music Competition in 2011, and in 2010 received the diploma in the virtuoso division of the 8th P
