• The most notorious group in the history of rap and forefathers of the gangsta rap movement released the groundbreaking record “Straight Outta Compton” twenty years ago, which included today’s classics such as “Straight Outta Compton” and “Express Yourself”. The 1988 release shot to #1 on the US rap charts and was a huge success in our country as well. Kidz’ from ‘da Hood’ found an outlet to express themselves and integrated N.W.A. enthusiastically into their youth culture. Even today, a hip hop generation is growing up, which orientates itself on these pioneers and whose work and creations have a decisive influence on their lives.
