If the engineer were Brazilian, would the sound come out that natural even if we recorded in Japan?During the production of his previous album, Omura felt that the character of the sound recorded in So Paulo was completely different from that recorded in Japan. He found Carlos KKA Kamine, the Brazilian engineer hed met during the So Paulo recording session, on social media and messaged him to request a recording session in Japan. At a subsequent meeting, moved by Omuras enthusiasm, the project slowly got underway.This album was produced with Francis SilvaOmuras dance mentor and a world-class vocalist and percussionistserving as music director, while also seeking advice from pianist Kiichi Nimura, who regularly supports Omuras live performances.I wanted to explore the overwhelmingly different sense of rhythm found in Brazil.
