This cover album features the work of singer-songwriter Nana Yanase, whose songs have been featured in stage productions directed by Kazukiyo Nishikoria director who is also active in theaterfor many years. Their connection began with the song Make Nai Towel, an anthem of encouragement produced immediately after the Great East Japan Earthquake, and over the next decade or so, it led to numerous songs that enriched Nishikoris stage productions. This album features five songs by Nana Yanase, including one that was first used on stage. Nishikori carefully weaves together this collection of songswhich quietly contemplate human pain, kindness, and hopewith his uniquely warm voice. The recording took place in Nara Prefecture.
