Nico’s fourth studio album from 1974, recorded in the summer of 1974 at Sound Techniques Studios in London and produced by John Cale, features the harmonium-based sound heard on 1968’s “The Marble Index” and 1970’s “Desertshore” with Brian Eno’s synthesizer and electronics, and Phil Manzanera on guitar. The harmonium-based sound heard on “The Marble Index” (1968) and “Desertshore” (1970) is augmented by Brian Eno’s synthesizers and electronic instruments, and Phil Manzanera plays guitar on “You Forget to Answer. You Forget to Answer” is a song about Nico’s misery when he was unable to reach his ex-lover, Doors singer Jim Morrison, by phone and later learned of his death. The album was the first to be released after Morrison’s death in 1971.
