Description:

Lang (18931952) was a composer of the late Romantic period in Denmark. However, perhaps because his music was far too radical for its time, he was not accepted by audiences and did not receive high acclaim during his lifetime. In recent years, his works have finally begun to be reevaluated, with an increasing number of releases of his orchestral works and others, providing more opportunities to experience his mysterious and romantic compositions. This series shines a spotlight on his string quartets, recording all six numbered quartets, as well as other variations, based on the latest revised editions.
