Although it was released in 1991, the original version actually came out in 1988. In essence, this is NOFXs first album. The content clearly shows that their starting point was pure hardcore punk; naturally, the lyrics are biting (as they still are today), and the sound has a strong hardcore vibe from their early days, similar to what you hear on bootlegs.
