Reissue from her fathers label, DOREMIA representative recording by his beloved daughter, Ofra Hanoi: Offenbachs Cello ConcertoOfra Hanoi is a Canadian cellist born in Israel in 1965. Her father, Jacob Hanoiwho first introduced his beloved daughter to the celloheads the DOREMI label, which is now reissuing her seminal recordings. While all of these were originally released by RCA, the highlight is Offenbachs concerto. Offenbach, known today for operas such as *The Tales of Hoffmann*, *Orpheus in the Underworld (Heaven and Hell)*, and *La Belle Hlne*, was so skilled on the cellowhich he began playing at age ninethat he was hailed during his lifetime as the Paganini of the cello.
