Olivia Newton-John, a British female pop singer originally from Australia. After cutting her teeth as a backup singer and in other supporting roles, she made her solo debut as a country-pop singer in 1973. She gained popularity when her 1974 single Confession of Love reached No. 1 on the U.S. singles chart, and she continued her rise to stardom with 1975s The Lure of the Breeze, her role in the musical film *Grease*, and the success of its theme song. Then, in 1981, she reached the pinnacle of her career as a pop singer when her disco-style pop song Physical spent 10 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the U.S. singles chart. However, she passed away in August 2022 after a long battle with illness.
