OLYMPICone of the leading bands of the former Czechoslovakian rock scene, formed in the early 1960s around Petr Janda (vocals/guitar) and Miroslav Berka (keyboards); though they temporarily disbanded in the 1990s, they reunited in 1994 and remain active today. Their fifth album, *MARATHON*, originally released in 1978 on the Supraphon label, is being reissued in a remastered edition in 2026!This is the LP vinyl edition.Released four years after their previous album, *OLYMPIC 4*which served as a transitional work in terms of both lineup and soundthis album features the addition of bassist Milan Broum (b), whose melodic playing continues to be a cornerstone of the bands sound even today (as of 2026). While centered on mellow, mostly mid-tempo tracks, the album features a spacey atmosphere created by Miroslav Berkas (key) synthesizer throughout, In terms of the fusion of the hard-rock band sound driven
