Les Arts FlorissantsOrfeoNow Available on Video!Les Arts Florissants production of Orfeo is now available on video! Paul Agnew has served as co-music director of Les Arts Florissants alongside founder Christy since 2007, and this live video recording of Orfeo marks the long-awaited realization of the production after a decade of preparation. After carefully re-reading Strigis libretto, a new stage design has been created that places a strong emphasis on the worship of Apollofeaturing beautiful lighting that highlights the contrast between Orfeo (son of Apollo, the sun god) and the underworld, and a set inspired by Celtic stone circlesall of which place significant emphasis on the worship of Apollo. Among the cast, Cyril Oviti, a gifted artist discovered by Christy who specializes in Baroque opera, delivers an outstanding performance as Orfeo with his youthful voice. Hanna
