Pharmakon, the experimental music project of NY native Margaret Chardiet, is back after a five-year hiatus. Releasing her fifth album, Maggot Mass, on Sacred Bones, Margaret Chardiet has been sounding expansive, industrial sounds under the name Pharmakon since the early 2010s, using sound art techniques. Maggot Mass” is the fifth full-length album by Pharmakon, which will be released on October 4, 2024 on Sacred Bones Records, after a five-year hiatus. From the death of the internal rules and structures Chardiet built for Pharmakon since its conception, the project has been reborn in a new form.
