• For 35 years these recordings slumbered in the archives of the R’n’B and Soul legends. In 2018 they finally find their way to daylight: “Piano & A Microphone 1983” by Prince.The name reveals: It’s a privately recorded piano session from 1983 with early recordings that were released years later, including “17 Days”, “Purple Rain” and “Strange Relationship” as well as the cover of Joni Mitchell’s “A Case Of You”. Another highlight is a rare recording of “Mary Don’t You Weep”, a spiritual from the 19th century.
