The 9th installment of the Pleyel Series!The Concert of Hidden Gems from the Pleyel Museum series, a collaborative project with concerts organized by the International Ignaz Joseph Pleyel Society (IPG)founded in 1995presents its ninth installment, themed Concertos and Symphonies. This volume also includes a piano concerto by Dussek, a composer active during the same period. Berlin-born bassoonist Matthias Larch made his debut as a soloist with the Cologne Chamber Orchestra at the age of 15. In 2001, he won first prize at the Prague Spring International Competition and second prize in the bassoon category at the ARD Munich International Music Competition. This virtuoso, who serves as principal bassoonist with both the Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra and the Lucerne Festival Orchestra, delivers a magnificent, lyrical performance.Tokyo M-Plus
