The second installment of Remi Barreaus Richard Strauss Project is here!Barro, who accomplished the monumental task of recording the complete Bruckner symphonies, will assume the position of Music Director of the Richard Strauss Festival in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 2024. He has begun recording orchestral works in collaboration with the festival for the Gramola label. This second album, recorded during sessions in Munich prior to the June 28 concert, features the symphonic fantasy From Italycomposed by the 21-year-old Strauss and inspired by the ruins of Rome and other sitesas well as five songs with orchestral accompaniment. Soprano Yo-Anne Bitter studied voice after graduating from the University of Munich.
