ReverendBaron, who also made a name for himself as a former professional skateboarder, releases his second album, following his 2022 debut. His musical world expands beyond the concrete-lined streets and elevated highways of Los Angeles to the hustle and bustle and ever-pulsing vitality of Mexico City, and on to the vast, quiet landscapes of Red Cloud, Nebraska. And his constant companion on this journey has been a long-standing nylon-string acoustic guitar. The guitars tone, reminiscent of Antonio Bribiesca and Luiz Bonfa, peeks through. If you listen even more closely, youll likely catch echoes of the delicate guitar textures of Townes Van Zandt and Nick Drake.
