Our very own Yasuharu Nakajima finally makes his video debut.Our very own tenor Yasuharu Nakajima, who will be visiting Japan with the Teatro La Fenice in May 2005, finally makes his DVD debut! This recording features Verdis early masterpiece *Nabucco*, performed in Genoa in April 2004. Nakajima takes on the key role of Ismaele. The rest of the cast is also exceptionally strong. The role of Nabucco is played by Alberto Gazale, a veteran Verdi baritone well-known to Japanese opera fans from performances such as Falstaff at the Saito Kinen Festival and Macbeth during La Scalas tour of Japan. Aside from him, the cast consists of talented young artists, much like Nakajima.
