• Ringo Starr Ringo (1973) is a surprisingly strong and star-studded album that showcases Ringo at his most charismatic and musically versatile. With contributions from all three former Beatlesplus guests like Marc Bolan, Billy Preston, and The Bandit blends rock, pop, and country with a warm, feel-good energy. Photograph (co-written with George Harrison) is a standout, as is Oh My My, a funky, upbeat number. Im the Greatest, written by John Lennon, adds a playful self-awareness. While not groundbreaking, Ringo is a fun, well-produced record that captures Starrs charm and proves he could hold his own as a solo artist.
