Britten Performed by Irelands Rising Star TenorRobin Trishler is a tenor from Ireland. He won the Wigmore Hall International Vocal Competition and studied at the Royal Irish Academy of Music and the Royal Academy of Music. Selected as a BBC New Generation Artist and performing in concert halls across Europe, he is currently one of the most talked-about tenors. As of 2015, he has been appearing frequently as a regular guest artist at Wigmore Hall. Here, he performs art songs by Britten and Schubert. This is a collection of folk song arrangements composed by Britten based on *The Irish Folk Song Book*, which Irelands national poet Thomas Moore compiled from existing folk songs. The collection also includes A Thousand Grasses in the Garden (The Last Rose of Summer), a song familiar to Japanese audiences as well.
