An album featuring excerpts of music and scenes from *Antony and Cleopatra*, directed by Iqbal Khan and performed by the Royal Shakespeare Company in 2017. Three actors perform Shakespeares tragedy, in which Antonyone of the three consuls ruling the Roman Empire after Caesars assassinationis seduced by Cleopatra and leads himself to ruin. Laura Muras music, which follows the progression of the story, is also a highlight. The album also includes music from the 1953 production at the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre, vividly bringing to life the atmosphere of that performance from 50 years ago.Naxos Japan
