Sun Yutong, the 1995-born pianist who became the youngest ever winner of Spain’s Jan International Piano Competition in 2012, makes his recording debut on the NCPA Classics label. This release comes from the acclaimed “Debut” series, where the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) introduces China’s young talents to the world. Sun Yutong, who gained attention among Japanese audiences at the 18th International Chopin Piano Competition in 2021, performs Brahms’s late masterpieces on this recording, including the “Fantasia Op. 116 No. 1,” which he also performed at the 2024 Hamamatsu International Piano Festival.
