A collection of works including the latest 2018 work by Italian contemporary music treasure Sharino! World premiere recordings of all works including the latest works by Sharino, who made a strong impression on contemporary music fans when he first visited Japan in 2011 as the theme composer for the Composium held at Tokyo Opera City. All works are world premiere recordings. Self-taught in composition, Sharino is known for creating outlandish sounds with ideas that differ from those of other avant-garde composers. In “Two Sea Tones,” a duet between a mezzo-soprano and computer sounds synthesized in real time, the world of Greek mythology comes to life in the present day. The subtle differences in the layered sounds of the pianos are built up in “Night Navigation” and “Other Nights,” in which four pianos are mobilized.
