Centered on the works of Ferdinand Carullione of the composers who left behind the largest number of arrangements and original compositions for guitar and fortepianothis is an ideal recording of works for the Romantic guitar (Biedermeier guitar) and fortepiano, composed from the late 18th to the early 19th century, performed on replicas of period instruments.It is said that on modern instruments, the volume balance between the guitar and piano is poor, making it impossible to perform these works with rich nuance. The *Variations on *The Magic Flute* are based on Beethovens Op. 66, to which Carulli added variations suited to the guitar.
