Sonia Wieder-Atherton, following the release of No. 1 and No. 2 on limited analog vinyl, has made her debut as an unaccompanied soloist. After a number of excellent recordings for RCA and NAIVE, Sonia Wieder-Atherton has recently been recording for ALPHA in France, and her recording of Bach’s Unaccompanied Suites is her first full-length album of unaccompanied works. With long-time NAIVE recording engineer Pierre-Antoine Signoret, he recorded two new suites at an old monastery in France, and following the first release in 2020 (Suites Nos. 1 and 2/analog vinyl limited edition), this is the long-awaited second release of the Bach Suites.
