SOYUZ, a Belarusian band that gained international attention with their last album “Force of The Wind” (2022), which was heavily influenced by Brazilian music, is releasing their first new album in three years from “Mr. Bongo”! The title of the album, “KROK” means “one step” in Belarusian. The word has a great meaning for them, as they moved to Warsaw against the backdrop of the war in Ukraine and unstable political situation in Belarus.Songwriter/arranger Alex Chumak (Alex Chumak) had previously spelled the lyrics in Russian, the common language of the former Soviet Union countries, but for this album he decided to write in Belarusian, their native language.
