Fifth and last work completed by Steve Albini recordingSparkle Horse ended its journey with the death of Mark Linkous. This fifth album was recorded in early 2010, 13 years after the news of the death of the central figure and songwriter. The 14 songs include a lo-fi ballad (11), a psychedelic pop song (8) that grabs you from the intro, and a melody (5) that is catchy with a sad voice. Here is the kind of emotionally moving “music” that has been made famous by Steve Albini’s recordings.
