StarterCar, formed around songwriter Oisean Burnett, has released its debut album on Tapete Records. The project, which began with a flyer seeking band members, has grown into a prominent presence in the South London music scene. Centered around an indie sound infused with country elements, the band portrays the beauty and struggles of life through accessible melodies. Joe Futak (lilo, Piglet, Baggio) handled the recording and production. Featuring contributions from Christie Gardner (lilo), Sophia Bartlett (Tugboat Captain), and Michael Rhea (Symbol Soup), the band has crafted a rich, layered sound. With its fresh songwriting shining through, this debut album captures the current state of the South London indie scene.
