The 18th century was a golden age for transcriptions, and J.S. Bach can certainly be considered one of its greatest masters.During his Weimar period, Bach created arrangements for the organ (three concertos by Vivaldi and two by Johann Ernst) and the harpsichord (14 works by Italian composers). He also arranged his own instrumental and vocal works for the keyboard, transforming them into magnificent pieces. This recording brings together works by J.S.
