  Newcombe originally drew his influences from the psychedelic phase of the of the Rolling Stones – the band’s name is a combination of the Name of the Stones guitarist Brian Jones and the nod of the head in the direction of the cult leader Jim Jones in more recent times into new dimensions and deals with british shoegaze as well as world music.
