TheCat’sMiaow began in Melbourne in 1992 as a home-recording duo consisting of Bart Cummings and Andrew Withycombe. Kerrie Bolton and Cam Smith later joined the group, and together they have been creating unpretentious, delicate indie pop using a 4-track recorder. Following their reunion, they began performing live and working on new material, culminating in the completion of their first studio album. Its charm lies in the warm, delicate melancholy woven from elegant, uncluttered compositions, light brush drumming, and ethereal female vocals.
