• THE CHURCH came together in Australia in 1980. Their melodious Guitar pop in combination with emotional and witty lyrics became Lyrics became an instant hit in Australia and beyond.
  Their seventh album, “Starfish,” was recorded with With producers Waddy Wachtel and Greg Ladanyi – two veterans of the of the LA scene – in Los Angeles. When “Starfish” was released in 1988, it became the breakthrough album for THE CHURCH in the USA.
  The album reached number 41 on the Billboard 200 – not bad for a band that didn’t come from the USA! “Under The Milky Way” was released as a single and came in at # 2 the throne of the mainstream rock charts, but still made it to # 26 on the Billboard Hot 100.
