Description:

The Lewis Expresss latest album, *Do-Ha!*, is a superb tribute to soul jazz featuring flutist Chip Wickham. Recorded analog in a studio in Leeds, this album perfectly captures the smoky atmosphere of a club and the warmth of vinyl culture. The flute adds lustrous melodies to the rich groove woven by the tight rhythm section, congas, and piano/Wurlitzer. The album features seven diverse tracks, ranging from the down-home Walk On to the New Orleans-style Run Tell That and cinematic compositions. A masterpiece distinguished by its intense performance and analog feel. (C)RS
