DEMON RECORDS is launching a series of 7-inch singles to commemorate the Yardbirds’ 60th anniversary! The first release is the 1966 hit single “Over, Under, Sidways, Down,” recorded in April 1966, “Over, Under, Sidways, Down” was radically different from the standard blues rock music the Yardbirds had been playing. It features a rock ‘n’ roll backing inspired by Bill Haley & His Comets’ “Rock Around the Clock” and Jeff Beck’s soaring lead guitar riffs taken from Indian sitar music. The rare US stereo mix, obtained from a recently discovered master tape, is included. Remastered by Phil Kinrade and cut by Jasper Ward of AIR Mastering.
